Handmade in Bangladesh by HEED. Handicrafts (Health , Education and Economic Development), HEED supports and educates economically disadvantaged and destitute people. These people include refugees, people with disabilities, and indigenous tribal groups. The artisans sell their crafts at the market, enabling them to earn an income and regain their dignity and self-esteem. HEED currently helps 11,500 artisans in 300 producer groups. HEED Handicrafts uphold the ethics of Fair Trade. Various social supports are provided to the producers including free medical services, design support and education. There is also yearly profit sharing between the artisans.
