Ethica is a trading name of the Sisters of St Joseph Peruvian Project Ltd, a a not-for-profit Fair Trade organisation that helps improve the social and economic situation for Peruvian producers based in various regions. The sisters of St Joseph Project gives women in Peru the oportunity to help themselves, and their families out of poverty by providing them with secure employment and a fair wage. Workers are able to enjoy fair wages and safe working conditions free from exploitation. The women are supplied the wool to then knit in their own time, at home whilst they look after their families. The women are then paid upfront for the work they have done.
